- You may pay your bill online by clicking below. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and E-Checks. Note that payments may take up to 48 hours to post. Beginning September 3, 2024, a fee will be applied to payments via Credit Card and E-Checks.
- You may pay your bill over the phone by calling 1-877-885-7968. You will need your account number from your bill. Beginning September 3, 2024, a fee will be applied to payments made over the phone. Unfortunately, we will not accept payments over the phone in our office.
- If you wish to have your payments automatically drafted each month from your checking or savings account, please stop by our office or fill out the form below (under supporting documents) and email to service [at] ncbrwa.com (service[at]ncbrwa[dot]com), or log in to your customer portal and navigate to Automatic Bank Draft. Automatic Bank Draft is FREE!
- You can pay by mail by enclosing the bottom portion of your bill with a check or money order in the envelope provided. Paying by mail with check or money order is FREE!
- You can pay in person at our office located at 112 N Main St, Rutherfordton (across from CVS & Town Hall) during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays. We accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. Beginning September 3, 2024, a fee will apply for Credit Card transactions. Cash or Check will not have a fee.
- Our Night Depository is available 24 hours located next to our office entrance at 112 N Main St, Rutherfordton, NC, and at the Spindale Town Hall entrance. Check or money orders only. Payments placed in the dropbox after 5:00 pm will be posted the following business day. Paying by with check or money order is FREE!
Payment Terms
- Your account is due upon receipt of the bill. A late fee of $6.00 or 9% (whichever is greater) will be added to your account if payment is not received before 5:00 pm on the date indicated. Town of Rutherfordton sewer customers is subject to an additional $10.00 sewer late fee.
- A previous balance indicates the bill is delinquent and service is subject to be discontinued. The bill is the only notification that a customer will receive. No second notice will be sent.
- A transaction fee starting at 3.25% for Credit Cards and $1.10 for eChecks will apply to transactions beginning September 3, 2024. Additional fees will apply for using the automated phone system (IVR, speaking to a live PSN rep (phone), and some bills under $100. - A $50 fee will be added when a customer tampers with BRWA equipment to illegally turn the water on. Only BRWA personnel are authorized to restore water service.
- Failure to receive bills in the mail does not excuse responsibility for timely payment or prevent service disconnection. BRWA is not responsible for the failure of the U.S. Postal Service to deliver bills.

Paying your bill online requires that you create a customer portal and register with our utility billing software, Ampstun. Once you have registered your account, you will be able to log in and make your payments online.
