Important Information Regarding Your Rates

The Broad River Water Authority (BRWA) rate structure for residential customers is $30.00 base rate per month and includes the first 1,000 gallons of water used. Each additional 1,000 gallons of water is $5.65 per 1,000 gallons used. Typically, a household of four may use between 5,000 to 7,000 gallons per month (average of 2,000 gallons per person per month, which means your bill may range from $52.60 to $63.90.  

If you reside in or near the town of Rutherfordton, Spindale, or the Cliffside area, your bill may also include charges for sewer and sanitation services. BRWA acts only as the billing/collection agency for Rutherfordton, Spindale, and Cliffside, and sewer and sanitation rates, deposits, and connection fees are set solely by those entities.
